If you need specific skin lightening products, please refer to my Lightening Products page for specific recommendations.
The most popular products for lightening skin today are those with vitamin C and/or retinol. Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that works to reduce the effects of sun damage, including hyperpigmentation. Vitamin C is a derivative of vitamin A. Retinol is most commonly found in lightening creams and sunblock. I like the retinol creams because they are easy to use and are effective at reducing hyperpigmentation.
If you want to know more about the effects of retinol, visit my Retinol page for more information.
These products are very convenient for those who want to use them all at once. But because of their high cost and high demand, they are a great investment only for those who are willing to make the purchase. For example, I use a lot of them in my daily regimen. But I only use them when I want to make a dramatic change in the complexion, and have a high chance that I won't be able to do that for several months. I personally only use retinol for lightening and lightening dark spots, and for those with dark spots who also have hyperpigmentation.
